Seven electric charging stations from six different manufacturers have been installed at Portland State University as part of a two-year study that will examine which chargers get the most use, who’s plugging in, and what they do while their car drinks up a charge.
Electric Avenue has one quick-charge station that can juice-up an electric vehicle in about 30 minutes. The other six stations are called level two chargers and can fill up most batteries in four to six hours.
The machines will collect mechanical data, like when they’re used and for how long.

Bovett say what worked was Oregon’s first-of-its-kind law making pseudoephedrine a prescription drug. He made endless trips to lobby the legislature, battling the pharmaceutical industry. The results have been somewhat mixed. Discoveries of meth labs have plummeted, down from nearly 600 in 2001 to just one so far this year.
At first, arrests for possession, dealing, and manufacturing dropped by about half. But now they’re inching back up again. Outside factors like law enforcement manpower can influence the number of arrests. But the general consensus among Oregon police is that the game is changing again.
